Its finally happened. The weather became nice and i got the swimming pool out. It took about 8hours to fill up and a bit longer than that for me to try and get all the wrinkles out of the floor(i never achieved this).

So Saturday morning it was speedos on an away i went. I jumped in and all that could be heard was foul language as it was freezing. To restore my pride i should have put socks down the speedos to counteract the effect of the cold water.

Then i tried to get on my inflatable tyre. Something not very easy. I kept falling off it and not learning, so trying it again. Luckily i think i entertained the street with my comedy.

I then decided against the tyre and used the lilo. I happily floated and suckled like a pig on it. I am sure the sight of me lying on a lilo added thousands to the value of the houses on my street. Or, if Greenpeace had a rainbow warrior road version they would have been up my house.

Just to clear up the above.....and to not ruin the bank holiday for everyone with an image they didn't want......i didn't wear speedos, i was commando.

Bank Holiday Mondays....the time for relaxtion and getting drunk.
Not for me though. I woke up at 6.30am and drove to Bristol to sit a mock exam. I am currently sat at the pc waiting for the debrief. I just want to go home and drink.

I am taking the opportunity of a keyuboard that actually works properly to edit my blog. the problem is in my poor exscuse of a life i sit here and dont really have anything to say...TYPICAL.

Looking at the amount of corrections i have made to this post too, it would appear that even if my laptop keyboard did work properly i am still an illeterate sh1t that can not type.

My laptop has packed up so i am using an old one that is a bit slow and the keys dont work properly, so apologies for the errors.

I havent been up to much really. I have been studying for Top CIMA so havent had chance to update the site.

It was the anniversary of my dads death last week so it was all a bit somber and miserable. Missing you Dad.

Good news though.....The sun is out so i have put the pool up in the garden. Its 12ft wide and i cant wait to go for a dip. (picture to follow).

Back from Hols

So i am back off my holiday and i am glad to say that i decided against the mankini or the thong. Thought i would let you all know about the place and the most memorable thing from the stay.

Hotel Angela
The hotel was very nice. It was clean, the food was good, staff friendly, location good and pool okish. We didn't see any of the entertainment but other people thought it was rubbish.

I suppose the best bit was the half board food. Breakfast was good and did English sausages. Evening Meals were good quality and the selection was great. I suppose there was never a question about me eating lots.....but i can safely say i more than broke even during my stay.

A couple of gripes about the hotel though. First off, we asked for a quiet room and it would appear that there definition of quiet is to put you high up. If you end up with rooms 1-9 on each floor it will not be quiet.

Second, is the pool. This looked big in the picture but isn't. No Kids allowed clearly means no fun as lilos were banned.

Now for my best bits(not my ass and man boobs)
1. Costa Del Brummie.
Hundreds of them everywhere but there were two that stick in my mind. They were in our hotel and were very thick. She was massive and had green bikini that made her look like Disney's flubber. The thing that makes me laugh though is she wouldn't let her bloke speak and she very kindly at the top of her voice discussed her contraceptive pills with the whole of the swimming pool. He did speak once to say that it looked like it was going to be a hot day. No SHIT....Its been 35 degrees for the last week......move over Michael Fish. (maybe i can see why he is not allowed to speak)

2. The Pool Run
Due to the small pool, loungers were in short supply. The doors to the pool were locked until 9am and people queued by the door. I am sorry to say that i was one those people, but it gave me an opportunity to discuss pointless rubbish with people i didn't know or likely to ever see again. The amazing bit was the run when the door opened. Seeing grown men running and pushing each other to get the beds is a strange site. Maybe we could get it into the 2012 Olympics (Germans would win)

3. Shooting Stars
On Sunday night the earth crossed a meteor field so there were lots of shooting stars. At 37000 feet we had an ideal view to watch and it didn't disappoint.

So overall the holiday was a great break. I would recommend the hotel to everyone but wouldn't go back as i think there are far to many places to go before i need to visit there again.

Work have very kindly blocked my blog so i am not able to access the thing until i get home. They have also blocked facebook so it looks like i will have to start doing some work. Apparently social networking is not allowed.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Good News.....We have booked a holiday for Sunday. Its a last minute job as we tried to hold out for a late deal but it would appear that they went up in price due to the rubbish weather.

We are off to The Costa Del Sol and for a week. We are staying in the Hotel Angela under a half board basis, so i will be more than breaking even with breakfast. I would like to say that i chose it because it is amazing, but that would be a lie. Firstly Tammy did all the research and found the deal. Secondly, there was not much left from Cardiff.

So i am off to pack my stuff..............Speedos are banned though.
Ill report back when i return.

I have joined the telegraph fantasy football league agian this year. I managed to use all my transfers by january last year so lost out to my work colleagues Tom and Marc, so ended up buying the steaks.

This year i am out for revenge and have picked a winning team that i dont think even Steve (Potato Head) Bruce could fail to win the league with. More people form work have joined in this year so i hope i dont lose as that is a lot of steaks to buy.

The Simpsons - Movie

Me and Tammy went and watched the Simpsons on Saturday so i thought i would share my thoughts on the experience.

Firstly i would like to point out that at £7.50 per ticket plus about 6 quid each in drink, ice cream and popcorn i can see why people download movies rather than give more to the Fascist B@stards (up the revolution).

I went to the Odeon in Cardiff Bay which is a nice enough cinema, except i went on a Saturday afternoon so it was full of kids but the ones sat by us were OK. The bloke behind though had a stupid laugh and seemed to be easily amused, which got very annoying.

The film itself was OK. The humour was there and it had many of the ongoing humour from the show, such as Nelson going HaHa. The story itself was a bit predictable but the humour made up for that. I didn't find myself thinking how long have i been sat here, which is a good sign. Matt Groening made sure that the film at 1hr 20 contained enough different humour to last the whole movie too.

Overall i liked the movie but would i recommend it? I left the movie happy that i had watched a comedy film, but on reflection i would have to say that there is nothing there that you don't get on TV and that maybe the Simpsons should be kept to a 20 minute show.

I suppose Homer sums it up the best when he says " why would people pay to watch something that you can watch on TV for free." Obviously there are no license fees in America!!!!!!!

I did get a stupid free Simpsons hat though and when i work out blue tooth i will post it on here.

My Big Fat Rant

I alluded to it in an earlier post (rant) that Pro Evo is starting to really get on my tits. I recklessly decided to impose a ban on myself using it and after only one night I found myself breaking it.

So now I have decided to completely change my stance on the ban. When the tw@ts are always Brazil I just be Brazil with them. When they decide to be someone different I will also follow suit, for example I am playing a lot with Newcastle at the moment (pace galore).

So this is helping. The tw@ts that will only be Brazil are getting a beating and the fun people are getting an entertaining game of football. This is playing havoc with my ranking but it is definitely worth it.

The mention of Tw@ats leads me nicely onto the next rant. Forums. I don’t mind Villa forums when blues fans use them and post sensible stuff but now it is the school holiday the losers from Small Heath are logging on and posting shit. This leads to the normal villa, blues slagathon and all discussion ceases.

Well my message to these people is during your school holidays......stop pissing me off and go and play on the white lines on the M6.

4 Eyes

It’s happened. I have finally given in and decided that it is time for me to wear glasses. After a severe dressing down from my optician about my eyesight and the realisation that I can actually see let alone drive at the moment, I enrolled the help of my good lady (pick frames) and purchased some specs.

I went for a pair of glasses and a free pair of sunglasses (if its ever sunny again) and picked them up today. I did get them two days ago but I got double vision from them so had to take them back.

So I am now sat adjusting to a life of abuse for been a four eyed nerd or speccy head. Whilst I contemplate this please feel free to post the abuse now.

Luckily the windows on the 15th floor don’t open, so any abuse is fine.

Marlon Harewood - The Verdict

So the guys at B6 have finally got themselves into action and bought another player. This time its Marlon Harewood who similar to Nigel Reo-Cocker won’t have to change the colour scheme within his house.

It would appear after reading many forums that this guy is deemed useless, inadequate and no fit to wear the shirt. You can see where some of these views come from though after scoring 4 in 35 games last year for the cheats from London. However though this doesn’t really paint a fair picture. The season before he single handily destroyed our defence on his way to grabbing 3 goals.

My view on the guy is.....Yes he looks a bit like an alien. He is quick, strong and has got an ok finish on him. I see the man as backup for the Big Man Carew. If he got injured, with the current strikers we have, this would undo our game plan. Whilst at Celtic O’Neil had two big lumps (Sutton and Hartson) upfront with pace running off either of them. He now has similar options as he finally has cover for Carew.

To all the moaners on Icbirmingham, Lets give Harewood a chance and see what he can do. If he can hold the ball up to release Gabby, Young or Moore then that will be money well spent.

That’s it.......I have had enough...........

My love affair for Pro Evo Soccer is over. Its bad enough having to play against people on XBOX Live who just want to cheat and freeze the game up so they win 3-0, but there is an even worse side to the game.

The cheats you can get round by changing your status and then leaving the Xbox on, but the people who only choose to be Brazil and Inter Milan......words can not explain these tw@ts. Last night I played 7 games of Pro and every time people chose to be Brazil. My message to these people is that you are average players trying to be good using Adriano as the only weapon in your Arsenal. Piss off Xbox Live and go and play in a world cup on your own you pr1cks.

Looks like I will now have to throw myself into Forza 2 now. Bring on Pro 7. Hopefully the developers manage to remove the pr1cks from the environment.

Bridgend Ford

I used to believe that Ford stood for Fixed Or Repaired Daily but recently I have come around to the idea of owning one of them.

Due to the need to soon own a family car it was decided that Tammy would get rid of her car so we thought a new fiesta or focus would fit the bill. After making an appointment with them for last Saturday we arrived in the car. A man that fitted the usual description of a used car sales man (tosser) finally spoke to us and then implied that no booking had been taken.

I thought fair enough its not quite so you can help. Told him about the car we wanted to part exchange and he instead of offering to walk the 10 yards to the car, asked us to go and get it and park it by him. When I returned with the car he was nowhere to be seen and two other guys were just sat propped against a car smoking.

After waiting 10 mins we were about to go, he popped from behind the portakabin and said give me 10 mins as I am on the phone. (Clearly planning social life). After hearing that I got back in the car and left.

So my message to everyone is if you do want to own a Ford go elsewhere. Don’t give these people any of your cash and especially don’t give dick heads like the salesmen the opportunity to earn commission from you.

P.S. Anyone want to buy a Black 206cc. Ideal for the summer.

What a F***ing Shit Hole (not St Andrews)

I work in quite possibly one of the worst looking buildings in the whole of the UK. It makes the Rotunda in Birmingham look like a palace. Inside is no better. The lifts make random floors up, jolt and have more breakdowns than Mariah Carey. I suppose the one saving grace is the view. I can see across the whole of the city from the 15th Floor and can even see my beloved England.

On Friday I was stood waiting for a lift on the 15th Floor. Then this guy came and really annoyed me. Not only would the longhaired Muppet not stand still, pacing up and down whilst waiting for the lifts, he then after three minutes of waiting went and pressed the lift button.

I stood there thinking.....if only I would have thought of doing that. The bloody thing is lit up you idiot, which means I pressed it.

Then to make things worse he kept pressing it. So here is a message to that Muppet

The Art of the Perfect Toby Carvery

The wife decided to take me out for a cheeky Toby Carvery last night. I personally think that there are not many better places to visit for a good bit of food.

Normally the service is good, you get to pile the plate high and eat until you can’t eat anymore. On all points the night was a success. Tammy had a baguette and I had the full on two course roast for £6.50. BARGAIN, although we did actually share the starter.

There’s a way you can build on your plate to maximise the available space and involves building a pyramid in the following way:

Meat (ask for just Turkey, then say ill have a bit of beef too
Broccoli & Cauliflower to provide the base
Carrots & Peas
Boiled and Roast Potatoes.
Yorkshire puddings (placed on the side of the pyramid to hold it all in, but leave a gap at top
Gravy poured through the gap.

Follow those steps and you will have a great feast that will keep you full for ages.

I would recommend to you all to visit Toby Carvery, but only when the 2-course offer is on (Mon - Sat 12-7). Like the harvester's early bird you just cannot pay full price knowing that you can get the same meal cheaper at a different time.

The mighty Peugeot had a narrow escape on Saturday. Popped out for a Chinese with the Grey tribe and returned to discover that where my car was previously parked there was now a smashed up car.

It would appear that one of the local Kev's was going a little to fast and missed the traffic calming in the road, smashing straight through the bollards and into the parking space I should have been in. There was a car in that space and judging by the damage caused the Black Flash would have been no more. So thank god I enjoy a good meal as it means I was out of the way.

For the 2nd time in 9 months the Black Flash has dodged its death. Long Live the Black Flash.

Hatrick Quest - Success or Failure

The Saturday element of the challenge appears to have not been completed. Friday and Sunday both produced positive results. I suppose 2 out of 3 many people will see as a result but the pre match hype leaves me feeling more let down than Frank Lampard after having to reject the £130k per week contract from Chelsea.
Please note that it would appear that the sheets were not changed during the weekend. All I can say to that is that you are an animal and it is sick and wrong.

DIY - Do it Yourself (yeah whateva)

I have a list as long as my arm of jobs that I need to get done around the house before the baby comes along. I have been putting this off and off but finally measured and ordered the decking in the week.

So now I had to put it together. Sandy "The Cat" (Tammy's Dad) came and cleared the areas on Friday and with my brother down for the weekend I had no excuses. Luckily for me my brother knows what he is doing.

It rained all Saturday but we soldiered on and got the frames built. Just as we put the last bit down the bloody sun came out. The next day we got the boards down and Tammy had chosen some lights, which were installed into the decking.

To be fair it looks shit hot. All we need now is the Sun to come out and we can start to enjoy it.

As well as the grand unveiling of the decking, the deep end will be open too. Celebrity Star "Plod" is still to be confirmed for the ribbon cutting but there will be fun events such as Weed picking relay, the lawnmower challenge and the paint the decking competition. Might even have a bbq. So come along and join in the fun.

Its official. I ate like a complete and utter pig the weekend. It was like being at Epcot except instead of an attraction for each country I had food.

It started in India, popped into to Europe for a Baguette, then over to the Far East for a Chinese, then to America for a subway and finished off with a good old British "deep fried paradise" combo. I thought it was the misses that was pregnant not me!!!!!

So lets review what I had.

Friday.
Jamuna Indian Takeaway - Chicken & Spinach Balti + Naan. This place is great and I recommend it. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. By far the best Indian in the area.

Saturday
Pugh’s Garden Centre (takeaway) - I was busy building decking in the garden so Tammy and mother popped out and bought sarnies. Chicken Salad was my poison. It was nice but the lettuce made the bread go soggy. I personally wouldn’t buy from here again as at the best part of £4 its a bit of a rip off.

New Garden Chinese Restaurant Aberkenfig - As a treat I let my mother buy us all Chinese. I like this place as it is quality food and the service is brilliant. The bloke serving us looked like he should have been in the monsters and seemed to look at males when saying madam, but other than that it was good. I recommend going here instead of heading down the Cardiff Bay to Pearl of the Orient as its better value and less pricks around you.

Sunday
Subway Caerphilly - Still building the decking so off the women went again to get lunch. Spicy Italian from Subway was my decision on Italian Herb. Now this was nice and they piled the meat into it. You know what you get with Subway even if it’s a little expensive. I'd prefer this to Pugh's though.

Innkeepers Fayre Upper Boat - Now this used to be a Brewers Fayre till it was sold. All I can say is please please please buy it back or close it. The service was poor, the food was horrible. Its competitively priced but you can see why in the quality of food. I say Keep Away from this place. If its cheap prices you want go to the Pottery (Sizzler) just down the road.

You might find it hard to believe but I did actually do other stuff than eat this weekend.

The Hatrick

One of the guys I work with is about to attempt the hatrick challenge. This is no ordinary hatrick though. Many think that Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Euphoria is the hatrick but that is nothing more than a MYTH.

Friday he is hooking up with the ex.
Saturday is still vacant but the shark is in the water in Cardiff so fingers crossed.

Well its been about three months and i do feel as though i should start posting again. So much has happened over the past months that i have totally forgotten to update this fine piece of culture.

I will now be updating this on a regular basis so watch this space for more pointless thoughts on my world and life in general.

The end of the world is here. Pro Evo has broken. I went to play it on Monday night and it just wouldn’t work. I have emailed play to see if they will exchange it. Heres me hoping.

I have just heard that there will be a minute silence tomorrow to mourn the loss of Pro from Chez Grey. All flags will be lowered to half-mast and all players in Champions League Game will wear black armbands.

Please, please, please Play let me exchange the product. I will beg if I have too.

Catch-Up

I haven’t being ignoring you, I just haven’t done anything exciting. Heres roughly what I have done over the last few days.

I got a few games of Pro in and it is awesome. I have the standard issues of scoring a goal that seems to happen every time they release a new version of the game, but by Friday night I had ironed out this problem and was playing against some dirty manc on live. Even though I couldn’t score a goal I still took comfort in the fact that I was not as bad a Wilf and Man Boobs Taylor are at the game.

I then had a weekend of studying and a revision course at BPP. To be fair the lecturer tried in vain to make the subject sound interesting but at the end of the day its accounts, and he was an accountant, so the odds were always stacked against him.

The Numpty from last week turned up for both days and kept his mouth shut so maybe he did read my blog. A couple of bizarre things happened on the Sunday at college. First I was driving down a one-way street to park when a car came towards me. Then after sort of looking surprised to see me, THE WOMAN reversed a bit parked opposite me and said "Is this a one way street, all the cars are facing the other way so I thought it was but wasn’t sure". Clearly a recipe for disaster....Women drivers and it was a Sunday.

Then someone at college said they had been there since 7am as they had put there clocks forward......Bless......really shoudl have kept that info quiet.

Life on Hold

Today I thought I would be posting that there was only one more sleep to go till Pro Evo 6 dropped through the letterbox and I had even thought of something witty to put in the posting. This still is true but............wait for it........GAME the people I hate so much in a previous posting have gone a little way to redeeming themselves.

Here’s how!!!!!
I was down Talbot Greens hops last night with Tammy and we walked past GAME. In the window was an A4 piece of paper that had Pro Evo 6 available now written on it. I checked my watch to ensure it wasn’t April Fools day, which it wasn’t. After the sales assistant confirmed it was also not a sick joke, I purchased Pro Evo and set off home to start playing it. My copy from Play will turn up tomorrow but rather than opening it, I will pop down to GAME to return it for a full price refund.

Managed to grab a couple of games if it but I had to go and play football at 8.30 so tonight I will play it a bit more and report back....

Anyway back to you....the bloke two rows in front of me in class. This is a revision course primarily based on questions. This implies you have a bit of an understanding about the subject. Clearly you didn’t so do us all a favour and stop being tight and book a proper taught course and revision course that will allow you to be stupid on someone else’s time. In fact, book on any course you want, but I ask you to please make sure that I am not on it.

Also, if you cant be bothered to turn up for day one then don’t try to catch up in the first hour of the second day. Do it on your own time and not mine. IDIOT.

I had the great pleasure of wasting my weekend studying for my exams, but did manage to catch the Villa game in the pub. Got down there nice and early with Air Wilf and got a table and had a few carling colds. Then Guv and Les arrived but where was Man Boobs Taylor. MBT as he will be known from here on, did not show up. He said he would be on the train but he wasn’t. The Villa game came and went and still no MBT. Then he arrived.......and we could call the search off. MBT was safe and well....Great.

The question is though......WHERE WAS MAN BOOBS TAYLOR WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE TRAIN OR IN THE PUB WATCHING THE FOOTBALL???????????

to this day, the question remains unanswered. If you recall seeing MBT (pictured above) during 5-8 on Saturday then please call crime stoppers immediately..

Now back to the game. Villa drew 1-1 with Fulham and I suppose I would have to say it was a far result. Villa's revival sort of continued as under O'dreary we would have not doubt lost that game. Barry got a screamer of a penalty and then Baywatch fanatic Volz equalised.....according to the commentator his first for the club in the premier league. GOD I FEEL SO LUCKY NOW. I personally would have preferred to win this game and then maybe lose to Liverpool but hey we can now go to Liverpool on Saturday and take all three points.

Arriva Trains W@nkers

Arriva Train Wales, Trenau Arriva Cymru, roughly translates to "we are a bunch of incompetent arse holes. After travelling on the train to work now for over a year, I have finally been pushed over the edge. For the third day in a row the train has been late which means it is then full so doesn’t allow passengers on at Radyr. Then the next two are full so the same happens until after about thirty minutes a train arrives that you can get on.

Once on the train you are crammed in like cattle and normally will have to contend with someone having a sweaty armpit in your face. It makes me feel so good about paying £350 a year to travel like this. You finally arrive at the station and as you leave there is the standard tree hugging protest outside saying that certain multinationals are funding cruelty to animals. I never see a similar protest saying Arriva Trains are funding cruelty to humans.

According to their website their commitment is to provide safety, security, quality, punctuality and cleanliness. Clearly they are not monitored or ever plan to achieve these goals as the service they offer is a shambles. The rolling stock is outdated, dirty and has more breakdowns than Mariah Carey. How on earth safety is achieved when you are crammed into a train I do not know. I have visions of the trains becoming like those in India, where people hold on to the outside. Each train has more chewing gum on its seat than Wrigley’s can produce in a year, and who the hell are BAZ and SHAZ? All in know is that they are in Luv 4 Eva as it is scratched into any surface that would permit it.

The comedy line in their commitment is the punctual bit. Many a time I have been stuck at the station waiting for a train that is never going to come. The only thing about punctuality for Arriva Trains Wales is the collecting of ticket money. There is more chance of getting a refund from Farepak than from Arriva Trains.

Recently Arriva Trains introduced a new one-carriage train that, I kid you not, starred in the Great Escape. This thing is a relic and broke down on its first day as it couldn’t handle the incline on the valley services. This sums up Arriva Trains Wales......Outdated and Knackered. Someone please save us......PLEASE.....

New Toy......

Today I am like a kid in a candy shop as my new mobile phone has turned up. My contract with 3 has entered its final month so I have been looking around the Internet for the best deal. I am not one that is fussed about the style of phone, and it only has to meet a couple of items on a checklist, which are 1. Not a brick, 2. Have a camera on it.

I used a website called e2save. My phone contract is a twelve-month contract on orange with cash back on a quarterly basis that makes it worth £0.99 for 11 months. So a real bargain.

I chose the Samsung D600, which is ok. Looks good and best of all I have been able to port my number over from Three. I decided to do this to stop the moaning from my friends such as Dj and Scott who regularly point out they have a new number for me every 6 months.

So now I need to understand how to use the bloody thing. No doubt it will have some embarrassing pictures on there, which I will be able to share with you all.

I’m off now to play with my phone. TADA

GAME, Woes & X Box Live

For my birthday I was given £30 voucher for GAME. It was in the style of those new credit cards thingy’s. With Pro Evo 6 around the corner I thought I would pre order it online using this voucher for part payment. Its £39.99 plus postage online and will be £49.99 in the shop so its a no brainer, that is until you try top pay with a gift card. SORRY WE CANNOT ACCEPT GIFT CARDS YET. is what the system said, so I called them up, kicked off a bit about how I had to pay £10 more in the shop just because you can accept the gift card online. Rather than offering vouchers for the inconvenience and difference that I will have to pay because of their outdated systems, they advised I sit tight on the gift card and use it in about a year when their website will accept the payment method. I laughed at this suggestion, expressed my disappointment, pointed out I am probably not the only GAME gift cardholder, and hung up.

I then returned to the trusted site of Play.Com where I pre ordered it for £39.99 including delivery. So everyone please use PLAY.Com instead of GAME.

SO I was now stuck with a GAME gist card so I went to the shop and purchased X Box Live. Now I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but all I can say is WOW. Easy to set-up (Plod Helped) we were online gaming within 15 minutes. PGR 3 was our chosen weapon and it was great. The banter between drivers, the swearing when people hit a wall and the complete and utter rubbish ness of some people really make X Box Live awesome. Admittedly some people on there sound like they have been smoking to much Moroccan wood bind, but hey.......who really cares, not even the government now.

I can’t wait for PES 6 to arrive and get that bad boy over X Box Live. I think Tammy will soon become an X Box widow.

Thieving Gits

This morning I opened the door just as the postman was delivering the mail. A letter for me from South Wales Police, so I opened it to discover a speeding fine. Apparently on the 4th October I was doing 62 in a 50mph zone on the coychurch bypass. The bastards caught me on the way to my birthday meal. As I gesture I thought they could have popped a card in with the fine. So know I have to admit guilt on the form and send it back, then wait for the £60 fine to turn up and the bloody three points. I think I might ask for the picture and see if I how long I can drag the process out for. Hopefully the two guys will win the court case in Europe that means I don’t have to tell them who was driving. I hate spending money at the best of times but to pay the wankers known as the safety camera partnership really pisses me off.

I wonder if I can pay in 2ps?????????

Post Office Car Insurance Underwriting Error

It is that time of year when my car insurance is up for renewal so I decided to use www.confused.com to get my quote. My quotes managed to cut £100 off my renewal price, which was a bonus, and with the post office currently offering £50 cash back I managed to make further savings.

Now for the error on the way they underwrite policies. I chose the post office and when I had the option to change the voluntary excess from £250 I reduced it to £150 to see what increase in price occurred. I was surprised at no increase so continues to drop it to its lowest level of £50 and it still didn’t affect my price. This saving of £200 on my excess means that if I am unfortunate to crash this year, the saving in my excess will actually pay for my annual policy.

Bert Reynolds - Limo

Following on from Yellow car I have been told of another car game to grip the nation. It’s called the Bert Reynolds game, taken from the line the line from Happy Gilmour:

Whoa--must be Burt Reynolds or something. (As a limo pulled into the car park)

Basically its simple. When you see a limo you have to shout Burt Reynolds. The first to call it gets a point. You could get some funny looks when playing this game, but hey.......they are only gutted because they didn’t see it.

Madness, Mediocracy and muppets

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I have realised this week that it is 6 weeks to my exams and now the panic alarms are starting to ring, not that they should be as I am preparing for my revision courses starting this weekend. After the realisation had passed I decided to do an exam questions on Wednesday instead of watching the England game. I couldn’t understand this but once I saw the result of the game I was happy.

After my question I went and played football with some people from work. After not receiving a call from Mclaren to become the 5th midfielder I made myself available for the kick about. Now I am not the most energetic of footballers and if I am honest I am carrying a few extra close season pounds for the last ten years, and I have been likened to the talent of Jan Molby (fat levels of those before he went into prison). Now football was fun, scored four goals, lost a ball over the fence and then got bits of black runner everywhere in the house.

Then I saw the England game, and oh my god what a pile of rubbish that was. Living in Wales I have to listen about how arrogant English people are, but the way the papers and the people have responded to that performance I have to sort of agree with it. We won a world cup over forty years ago and now we believe we have a right to beat anyone. If maybe we would have respected our opponents and their unbeaten home record we might not have been so humbled. I have seen more creativity in a primary school and they showed the passion of a wet fart.

I remember Graham Taylor saying that it is ok to experiment in Internationals. It seemed to work so well for him now Mclaren wants to do it. You experiment in a science lab or in training at club level not in an International that means something. Get a grip Mclaren, the players looked lost out on the pitch and were running around like a bunch of Muppets. It reminds me of the O’Leary era at Villa Park.

Finally that leads me to ask the question, was it an off night for England or should we become realistic and not expect teams to roll over and let us tickle their stomachs? I think the latter is something that many supporters are going to have to adjust too.

Wanadoo nothing to help you

Finally I have managed to get the Internet working again. When I say that I have managed I actually mean plod has got the net up and running. Tried to see what he was doing fix it but he lost me somewhere around ip addresses. Hopefully some numpty won’t press the reset button on the back of the router again.

Before we could get the Internet fixed though I had to call wanadoo to get our account details. The office joke is how rubbish wanadoo customer services are, and true to form they didn’t fail to disappoint. Didn’t have to hold for too long and was actually quite relieved to get through to there Newcastle office rather than India. The account is in Tammy's name so I went through five minutes of security questions only to be told that they could only talk to the account holder. Why the prat on the end of the phone couldn’t have told me this when I said it was my wife’s account rather than wasting my time I do not know. By the end of the call I was wishing I had got through to the India call centre, as at least not being able to understand them and been asked about the weather by someone who doesn’t care would have provided me with at least a little bit of happiness from Wanadoo.
Wanadoo are good until you need to contact them. Then just forget about your Internet connection and transfer it.

Man Flu - the silent killer

Friday.
I am currently suffering from a killer dose of the man flu, an illness that has crippled many a man and country. The power of the illness is under estimated by the females who do not understand how what appears to be snivels is actually potentially a killer. Currently I feel as though my head is going to explode due to the amount of snot in my nose. After twenty consecutive sneezes I get the sympathy that I deserve with Tammy making me a drink and then a nice warm bath.

Saturday.
Man Flu has now fully taken over me. The sudafed appears to only be working for about an hour. Not sure I will make it through the rest of the day at the moment. Apparently the man flu is not just affecting me. Tammy mentioned she has had a lack of sleep due to my snoring. I personally don’t see what the problem is. Maybe one-day man flu will genetically modify and be able to be caught by a female. Then she will know why I was snoring.

Sunday.
The man flu is on the way out. My nose has stopped running and I think I can finally start to function again, I think I might get out of bed today and pop to spar to get some strongbow, or I might ask someone else to go as I don’t want to rush my recovery as the sympathy is nice.
I have just had a text from my friend Guv from Bromsgrove and he is also suffering with man flu. My thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.

Hello All,

The Grey has somehow landed on the Internet with his views and opinions on pretty much anything. Not only will I be sharing these views I will also include embarrassing pictures of my life and those that have impacted upon it.

If I'm been honest, I haven’t really got a clue on what I need to do on a blog. Hopefully my skills will be able to evolve with this blog and maybe one day will contain some information that might be of interest to someone.

If these skills aren’t forthcoming then I will probably annoy my friend Plod by constantly asking him for help.
