Wanadoo nothing to help you

Finally I have managed to get the Internet working again. When I say that I have managed I actually mean plod has got the net up and running. Tried to see what he was doing fix it but he lost me somewhere around ip addresses. Hopefully some numpty won’t press the reset button on the back of the router again.

Before we could get the Internet fixed though I had to call wanadoo to get our account details. The office joke is how rubbish wanadoo customer services are, and true to form they didn’t fail to disappoint. Didn’t have to hold for too long and was actually quite relieved to get through to there Newcastle office rather than India. The account is in Tammy's name so I went through five minutes of security questions only to be told that they could only talk to the account holder. Why the prat on the end of the phone couldn’t have told me this when I said it was my wife’s account rather than wasting my time I do not know. By the end of the call I was wishing I had got through to the India call centre, as at least not being able to understand them and been asked about the weather by someone who doesn’t care would have provided me with at least a little bit of happiness from Wanadoo.
Wanadoo are good until you need to contact them. Then just forget about your Internet connection and transfer it.
